Most people when they sleep at night, the suddenly start feeling a little pain accompanied with some unusual heartbeat rhythm. Soon, because the pain wasn’t contained, this may get worst that the person would have to stand up from sleep and become totally restless. Now consider this:
The ear ache is caused by variety of things and ranges from Children to Adults in terms of pain severity. But the major and most popular cause is either the Cold or an Infection of the ear canal or throat.
Take for example, if one is exposed to the cold for a longer time and the ear is left out while the cold air whistles into the ear, this might cause a build up of pain that eventually create a mild to severe pain later on. But in most situations, adding a more pillow to keep the head at least semi-vertical might help since the horizontal manner wouldn’t help drain excessive air from the eustachian tube. You might as well stand up for couple of moments and try some physical activities like walking around and or sitting to read just to keep the head straight. This might help reduce severity of the pain.

How not to have ear ache:
Since the saying “Prevention is better than cure” well, I guess taking the necessary measures might always help prevent pain related issues to the ear. To prevent any future occurrence again, it might be nice to follow some guild lines that might help prevent such.
1.) Avoid picking the ear: Using harder substances such as match stick, fingernail, screw driver might damage little part of the ear canal. This might cause a severe pain if not immediately, it might occur later on in the future because of the sensitivity of the ear.
2.) Keep yourself warm: Keeping yourself warm in colder conditions will help prevent ear related infections and aches. In this way, putting a hood around the head would actually help the ear from getting directly exposed to the cold conditions. Also, using things like ear pads might help a lot or an head warmer. Also, reduce internal intake of cold drinks.
3.) Treat throat related infections: The reason for this is that “The Ear, The Nose, The Throat” are all related and linked to one another. Ones one is infected, it is likely to affect the other. So keeping each healthy would actually help the entire body since these three brothers are important to the body.
4.) Avoid “Too-loud” environments: Staying in an excessively lousy places might affect the ear. Staying and facing the ear directly to objects like Loud Speakers, Public Address system might cause severity in pains and might even damage the ear drum. So avoid these things. Using an ear pad might help in this situation.
