Since the 30th of April, Samsung announced it would stop releasing Android 10 and One UI 2 System updates for it’s devices in India which is due to the nationwide lockdown measure put in place by the country’s authority to curb off the spread of the Coronavirus. There are new reports that showed the lock down being lifted in some parts of the country which had caused Samsung to be readying the roll-out of its operating system updates once again.
Before the interruption came on, Samsung devices in India which got the updates includes the Galaxy Tab S6 as well as the Tab S6 LTE which also got the One UI 2.1 update. There have been reports also that the One UI 2.1 update for smartphones with pre-installed Android 10 OS such as Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy A51 will all get updated by the end of May or early June.
The resumption back to updating the Android 10 in India is going to be a good news especially for the users of the Galaxy A50 smartphone. An Indian Edition of the device was rolled out a few months ago but because of a series of issues, the company had to discontinue the update.
A customer representative of Samsung India told the Galaxy A50 users that an error-free update will be available after the COVID-19 lockdown period. Thus, it is only a matter of time before Samsung honors this promise.
