While we are waiting for the release of the Xiaomi Mi 11 series which is scheduled to be released on 28th December, the Chinese tech giant has been teasign some cool information about the device ahead of its release date.
One of the most recent of such tease includes the company making it known that the device will come with “advanced display technology” which as we might argue, Xiaomi and other Chinese smartphone companies usually like to be the first in challenging next-gen technology and that could be with this device which could sport a much powerful display but one certainty is that there should be a much powerful display resolution with high refresh rate.
Parts of the teases of the display touted out by Xiaomi is by calling it the best screen ever made as well as being the most expensive in the industry even though there is no much detail about the display itself.
Aside the so-called great display, the other thing to expect is a great camera technology as well as an advanced charging technology which is expected to cut across the entire Mi 11 series.
There was also the recent revelation of the upcoming device coming with support for computational photography which is an image capture and processing technique that use digital computation rather than using optical processing. Sounds nice and great but the tech will nee to be put to test in order to know how great this will be.

And back to the rumors about the display, what we had is that the device will come with a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a hole-punch camera cut out for the front facing camera. Then there will be a Quad HD+ display resolution with 120Hz much like the current model. The Pro model will however bump the screen up to include a 2K resolution instead and both devices in the line-up are expected to sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
Further rumor has it that there could be a triple-rear camera system which will include a 108MP primary sensor as you would expect and it will have a 13MP secondary sensor with a 5MP third sensor while it will come with the latest Android 11 OS out of the box with the company’s custom MIUI 12 skin laced on top of it.
The battery capacity is expected to be about 4,780mAh while the charging should have support for 50W which might not be the highest in the market despite the company’s claims.
As for the memory configuration, the device is expected to be available in at least two variants — 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. There will be different color options including Smoke Purple, Blue, and White.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi could also follow the approach it took this year which was the introduction of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. That device was larger and has a different camera design module which was weird somehow. However, the official release of the device will determine what we’ll see.
