This isn’t what the iPhone 13 Pro will look like but just feed your eyes

I've used Android-based smartphones for nearly a decade and I won't change my mind

iPhone 13 concept

Apple owns the iOS space and so it doesn’t need to compete with itself especially with newer updates of its iPhones which it calls “revolutionary” every single year when it debuts a newer model.

It’s safe to say the company basically slaps some tweaks to the software and maybe reshape the camera module and remove something from the device. Initially, it was the 3.5mm headphone jack and I’m not even mad about that because Apple provided a better alternative which was the AirPods.

Then yanked the charger and claimed it’s for environmental reasons. While you and I know that’s because of its new MagSafe accessory which you’ll need to pay extra to get – we just don’t know what Apple will remove next again. It’s as if Tim Cook is constantly keeping the iPhone customers on their toes each year.

But I digress. In terms of the look and feel of the iPhone, Apple doesn’t usually change the design of its product just like Android smartphone makers who have to compete with several others to take the lion’s share of the market.

I mean with every release of the Galaxy S series, those of us that use Android devices know that our phone will be easily identified as being outdated just a year later because the next upgrade will have a newer design and generally high-end specifications that will likely outrun the current model (- not really.) but you get the point.

Best Phones 2018
2018 was the year Android smartphones makers joined the notch bandwagon

The current design language of the iPhone has been in existence for over four years now – 2017 when the “revolutionary” iPhone X was released with the notch. The notch-craze bandwagon soon starts with innumerable Android smartphone manufacturers including this as a feature on their smartphones.

Literally, some Chinese smartphone makers would include “Notch” as a feature of their device. Even almighty Huawei (RIP? not really!) fell for this with the release of its P20 and Mate 20 that year. While everybody seems to be jumping on the Notch bandwagon, Samsung retained its dignity and continues to make its devices in its own ways. It started with the hole-punch cut-out a year later in 2019 with the Galaxy S 10 series and even went further to make it better with the release of its Galaxy Note 10 series that same year.

This was a wake-up call to all Android smartphone makers who seem to have no direction or know who they should follow….Samsung or Apple? But since Samsung is the gold standard on the Android market while Apple continues to maintain a monopoly of its iOS market, Android OEMs seems to follow Samsung after all with Honor, former Huawei’s sister brand releasing the Honor View 20 which had a hole-punch cut-out.

And since then, it’s no longer about the notch but hole-punch. Other brands like ASUS even took things further by making a flipping camera system. A camera that literally flips all the way from the back to the front to become the selfie camera and then flips back to its position when it’s used. How cool does it sound?

Apple on the other hand continues to maintain the same look. There is literally no difference between the iPhone X and the iPhone 12 Pro in terms of design until you flip them around. Literally, I have to always show you the back of my phone for you to know it’s the latest, isn’t it?

But then things get a bit confusing with the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12 both of which have the same rear camera design except the latter has a squared-out shape rather than the rounded edges on the previous model.

The line is about to be blurred even further with the release of the iPhone 13 which will further maintain the design of the iPhone 12 but with some unnoticeable tweaks such as reducing the notch – by micro-millimeters I guess.

Anyway, a 3D designer is so generous to offer Apple his concept. He probably inspired or took the inspiration from the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra which has a secondary display right beside the camera system at the back of the device.

There have been many leaks about what the iPhone 13 may or may not look like but this one is pretty decent. The artist designed a rear-facing display with which you can catch notifications or even use it as a viewfinder when taking pictures using the back cameras for selfies.

Hopefully, Apple makes something like this in the near future – maybe iPhone 17 Pro Max Pro+…WHO KNOWS.

But a little hint about the news circulating across the internet about the iPhone 13 series includes the release of four devices which are the base iPhone 13, then an iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

We also wrote our suggested price point that the device might be sold for here. The devices will reportedly feature better display, the next-gen Apple Bionic chip, and the new iOS 15 out of the box. Anyway, just enjoy the video below for fun sake. Don’t take it too seriously because that’s not what Apple will release this September. Maybe by 2026 – and I’ll be glad if I’m wrong.
