Officially, POCO is a sub brand that had came from Xiaomi making it part of other interesting sub brands from the company such as the Redmi but that’s not the focus. POCO in this respect is quite conservative in the number of smartphones it chunks out on annually and the company hasn’t released too many right after the initial Poco F1 which was released back in 2018 which was really interesting as at that time. But fast forward to 2 years later and we have a new magnificent POCO F2 Pro which seems to have all the features in the world and is an amazing smartphone to say the least. POCO New Smartphone in India could be the Poco M2 Pro but let me explain why.
One rumor coming out from the Indian division of the company has it that the there might be a POCO smartphone being released in couple of days in India. While this is based totally on presumptions, the execs of the company recently disclosed in an interview stating that a new phone will hit the India market by next month we just don’t know which device it would be.
Chandolu, who is the exec in question made it known that the device won’t be the POCO F2 Pro just as you might have guessed but the said product is said to be made exclusively for the Indian smartphone consumers only and not the world.
Now if we’re to consider other rumors which have reached us concerning POCO, the said device might just be the POCO M2 Pro which is being codenamed “Gram” and from kernel source code spotted, the smartphone is expected to have a similar feature found on the Redmi Note 9 Pro which means the POCO M2 Pro would be a mid range smartphone running the Snapdragon 720G chipset.
In an interview with POCO India General manager, this discussions were also mentioned where he stated that there are some devices the company is currently working on which would be released pretty soon. Among them is the Pop Buds which is a True Wireless Earbuds.
Manmohan further disclosed that these products are being developed alongside Xiaomi’s R&D team which means that there are going to be some shared similarities with the current Xiaomi TWS earbuds already in existence in the market. But as for the release of the POCO F2 Pro in India, he didn’t touch that topic which means that probably isn’t the next target of the company just yet.
