When the first Poco F1 was released last year, it was definitely a flagship killer but then 2019 is almost over and we never heard anything about the device any longer making people wonder if Xiaomi is still planning to make the Pocofone.
Despite a bunch of speculations regarding the release of the device with some people even attributing the Redmi K20 to being the Poco F2, nothing official is yet online. That is until popular smartphone cover-maker Spigen listed a Rugged Armor Case for the Poco F2 on their official website.
Despite the multiple listing on the Spigen’s website, the render within the casing of the Poco F2 casing is the Redmi K20 Pro. While this would not have been such an important story had some local cover-maker uploaded pictures of the Poco F2. Spigen being a reputed manufacturer, might have insider information currently unknown to the world.
Those who called the Redmi K20 the Poco F2 might be right considering the fact that both devices shared nearly the same features both in hardware and software. For example, the device features a pop-up selfie camera as well as a center-aligned triple camera setup at the back of the device.
The new design based on speculations could sport an edge-to-edge display as well as a pop-out front facing camera and a smaller chin. Another likely feature of the device is an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Although the cover hides most of the F2’s rear panel, the cutouts reveal the triple-camera setup, complete with an LED flash module arranged vertically with the lenses. The first lens on the top features a red border, a design element that is currently seen on the Redmi K20 lineup. The volume rockers are present on the right edge of the Poco F2 with the power button placed right below. The speaker and USB Type-C port are visible on the bottom edge, while a 3.5mm port could be present on the top.
The pricing of the Spigen Rugged Armor cover of the Poco F2 is said to be around $25 and because there isn’t an officially announced, purchasing the case might not really be necessary yet.
And surely, the Poco F2 will continue to be a flagship killer featuring powerful specs such as Snapdragon 855+ SoC and could be priced at about $310
