While Samsung dominates the foldable smartphone market with its premium-grade Galaxy Z series, Chinese brands are also rivaling the Korean brand in the Chines market and one of those rivals is Vivo which is on the verge of releasing the second generation of its X Fold Plus smartphone.
Apart from the foldable smartphone, there are also rumors about its upcoming iQOO Neo 7.
Nothing yet is been made official about the aforementioned devices, a reliable tipster online outlined some important information to look at before the devices finally arrive.
According to the rumor, the Vivo X Fold Plus will have the same storage and color option as the previous generation of a foldable smartphone. The slight difference this time is the addition of a Red color option.

For the records, the first generation Vivo foldable smartphone came with 12GB of RAM with a storage option that range between 256GB and 512GB while the color options were blue and grey.
So if anything will change, it is probably going to be the internal components such as the chipset, better hardware such as an improved hinge technology as well as a tougher display as well as support for Android 13.
As for the display of the device, it’s likely to feature a 6.53-inch cover screen with FHD+ resolution and uses an AMOLED technology while the foldable internal display will be 8.03-inch with 2K resolution.
The rumor also added that both screens will have a 120Hz refresh rate.
As mentioned earlier about the upgrades of the device, we should see the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset while the battery capacity isn’t known but rumor says it will be a 4,700mAh Li-Po battery that could support up to 80W wired charging speed.
The camera module of the Vivo X Fold+ is said to have four camera sensors with the primary one being a 50MP lens while the others are 48MP ultra-wide, 12MP portrait with 2x optical zoom, and a smaller 8MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom.
The device may also be equipped with a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

On the other hand, the upcoming iQOO Neo 7 is expected to come in two storage options such as 128GB and 256GB while the RAM option will either be 8GB or 12GB.
Further reports have it that the device could have a 6.78-inch AMOLED E5 panel with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Also, the device will likely be powered by the high-performing Dimensity 9000+ chipset while offering a big 4,700mAh battery with support for a 120W blazing-fast charging capability.
