Some said it’s iPhone 9 while others reference it as being the continuation of the initial iPhone SE hence “SE 2” but there seems to be no official name for this device just yet as two separate iPhone 9 references were spotted online
The first was a placeholder page for the iPhone 9 on a Chinese e-commerce site, JD.com. MySmartPrice reported to iMore the finding this morning, and their report states:
Looks like the long wait for the upcoming iPhone 9 could end pretty soon. Earlier this month, we had reported about the possibility of Apple launching a new smartphone called the iPhone 9 later this month — on April 15. Today, major Chinese retailer JD.com has published a placeholder page for the iPhone 9, indicating that the official launch and retail availability of this new iPhone model are imminent. The page on JD.com does not have any specifications or details pertaining to the upcoming iPhone 9. But the very fact that a major Chinese retailer has readied a page dedicated to a new iPhone is a clear indication that the device is indeed on its way.
The webpage features a teasing image as well as some specification which aren’t official however, there are some key information added up to convince you.
Even those information and the naming of the device isn’t yet confirmed or even guessed by bigger brands like Verizon. The page lists the specification of the iPhone 9 or SE2 with no support for 5G but 4G and it’s reportedly coming with the Lightning port and even a calculator

Meanwhile there have been reports that the name of the Apple’s entry-level iPhone will be iPhone SE (2020) and was said to be released by April 15th but all these aren’t confirmed news by any means.
Other reports have suggested the iPhone 9 could land as soon as today, there’s a lot of mixed messages floating around currently and we don’t even know what to believe any longer.
