So for those of you wondering when the devices will be launched officially, the new confirmation date is Oct. 19th according to a new report gotten from Engadget which made it known that the event will take place at around 1 PM ET.
The search giant released a number of important information as far as the new devices are concerned and those include the design aesthetics and even the chipset that will power the hardware.
The new Google Tensor chip is said to be the first SoC designed by the company and will power the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro (no more XL).
It’s said to be AI-heavy sporting features such as speech recognition and on-device live captions and translation.

There will also be some camera upgrades to make it more interesting especially with multiple reports stating that the new Pixel 6’s camera will have a bigger sensor that will let in about 150% more light compared to the previous models.
There will also be 4x optical zoom and telephoto options on the Pixel 6 Pro and all of these will be powered by the Tensor’s photo processing capacity.
As for power consumption, there should be a battery upgrade as well that will let the device run for hours upon hours especially with the highly efficient Tensor chipset which Google is specially designed to match up with the device in every way possible.
There will also be 5G support and will run the latest Android 12 update out of the box with the interesting Material You UI.
