It won’t be surprising if this is true next year considering the fact that Xiaomi likes to be the first to do things. First it was the first company with a smartphone that has a monstrous 108MP sensor and one of the newest rumor is that the next-gen Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro could sport a camera that is capable of shooting a 50MP image.
The Mi 11 series are expected to actually sport the upcoming Snapdragon 875 chipset and the devices are said to just be two (Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro). But the main focus of the tip is the camera capability which according to the user Digital Chat Station stated the device could have a powerful camera sensor.
In his post on Weibo, Digital Chat Station further stated that he can’t be specific about the layout of the device’s camera due to the back being shelled. But from the system’s settings, he claimed to have found the main camera of the Mi 101 Pro having a 50MP resolution which according to him will allow the device to output a result of the 4-in-1 pixel binning process.
Mi 11 Camera Specifications(Expected)
So based on this little piece of information, the Xiaomi Mi 11 series camera is expected to be top-notch and being able to chunk out a whooping 50MP of photo quality will be a big deal in the smartphone market altogether.
And according to the tipster, the device is expected to have a telephoto with 12MP output but that’s also based on his/her speculations. But the camera sensor isn’t yet known whether it’ll be a 12MP lens or 48MP lens.
This news might mean the retention of the 108MP sensor on the Mi 11 series as seen on the current Mi 10 series even though they also come bundled with extra sensors such as 8MP telephoto sensor and 20MP Ultra-wide lens and another 12MP portrait camera all on the alleged Mi 11 Pro.
But aside the camera, other things we might see on the device includes a QHD+ display with a blazing fast 120Hz refresh rat and then a punch-hole camera cutout as well as the aforementioned Snapdragon 875 chipset and probably a 120W super fast charging capacity.
