Server outage is not new but it’s no joke, especially on services that are used by millions across the globe. The recent company to be plagued by this phenomenon is Amazon’s subsidiaries such as the Amazon Web Service and Alexa both of which were reported to have had a brief server outage sometimes on Sunday.
Thousands of users in the United States experienced the server outage of Alexa according to Downdetector while hundreds more reported issues while attempting to access AWS and even Amazon’s mobile app.
According to the internet outage tracker, user-submitted errors for Alexa showed over 16,000 reports at its peak outage.
The servers powering both services are said to be back and working normally according to an Amazon spokesperson via an email message.

In the case of AWS, the company noted that the issues with its service in which users were unable to complete their account signup process while receiving error messages regarding their billing consoles have been fixed.
