Normally there are usually gazillions of ideas flying around in big corporations like Apple thanks to its diverse number of employees. With that said, many of the ideas never make it to actual consumer products at the end of the day but usually when we get email leaks, we can get a glimpse on what the company might have planned to work on but abandoned along the line.
That’s the case with a recent email leak which showed the company planned on working on a 15-inch MacBook Air which was initially mentioned as far back as 2018 during the time which the company offered the product line as a 13-inch laptop to its consumers then later add an 11-inch variant to the line.
Even though there have been speculations about Apple probably working on a bigger variant which would be a 15-inch model, the company never released it and again, rumors about the 15-inch MacBook Air is in the news once again.

The email leak also make a reference to a Mac tablet or maybe kind of two-in-one device which is very prevalent in the Windows and ChromeOS market. The reinvention of the iPadOS is probably why this plan never saw the light and Apple probably scrapped the idea with immediate effect.
Apple also mentioned a US$199 iPod Super Nano in its emails which was expected to have been launched back in 2008. As the name implies, this will be an ultra tiny music player device unlike the traditional iPod.

They never happened and that could be due to the release of the iPhone which was revolutionary at that time. The device had just set a new standard for touch-screen smartphones and it has the capacity of the iPod baked into the software. Apple probably do not want a competition for its existing product.
