Another iQOO to debut in China could be the Z5x according to reports thanks to a new revelation about the upcoming device on JD.com. One thing unclear is the details about the phone. In fact, pictures of the phone were covered in clothes to hide its identity until the final launch.
A recent report has it that the device could debut as soon as October – well, we’re in the month of October already which could signal a good time to expect the release of the device.
While there aren’t many details out there about the smartphone, here are things we expect from the iQOO Z5x and that includes the device’s model number which was spotted at an IMEI database to be V2131A.

This same model number is said to have been spotted at other channels such as the 3C Certification platform of China and Google Play Console.

What was found on the 3C listing includes the device sporting a 33W fast charging capacity and a hole-punch camera cut-out upfront.
The Play Console listing showed the device will sport a full HD+ display and will be powered by Android 11 out of the box while its chipset will be the Dimensity 900 with 8GB of RAM.
Interestingly, there is another Android-based smartphone that has a similar model number and identical feature on the Play Console and that is a Vivo S10e in China which also has the model number V2130A. While there isn’t further clarification to solidify the differences between both devices, rebranding smartphones for a different market isn’t something new to Chinese smartphone manufacturers.
In other news, the recently certified iQOO phone with the V2136GA/A model number is rumored to launch as a Neo branded phone in China this month. It is expected to come with specs like a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a 3GHz octa-core processor, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, Android 11 OS, a 16-megapixel front camera, a 48-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 13-megapixel triple camera unit, and a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery with 120W fast charging support.
