Apple rolls out the latest iOS 15.2 updates with a number of important features and bug fixes. The stable version is now being rolled out to supported devices after an extensive beta period.

The new update according to Apple’s release notes posted by both 9to5Mac and MacRumors, the update includes the following:

• The Digital Legacy program, which lets you designate who gets access to your data when you die
• The App Privacy Report, which shows what permissions your apps use, and what websites they connect to
• Apple’s $4.99 voice-only plan for Apple Music
• A fix for the somewhat confusing state of the 13 Pro’s macro mode

Apart from that, the update also includes dome communication safety features such as the ability to blur iMessages tagged as being potentially explicit when sent to children.

The feature was part of the company’s controversial suite of changes that were meant to help combat child sexual abuse material or CSAM.

One of which includes on-device scanning of photos uploaded to iCloud as well as automatically notifying parents if their child chose to view pictures tagged as inappropriate.

The feature has been delayed the photo library scanning feature for a very long time now. It has instead made an option that let children choose whether to notify their parents.

iOS 15.2 also includes an update to the Safari browser as well as the Siri virtual assistant both of which will redirect users to resources if they search for topics related to CSAM.
