There have been a rumoured reports about tech giant Google, developing a way to make the way videos are being streamed on YouTube easier. According to a report from VentureBeat, its said that the company is working in a new mobile application which is called YouTube connect that would be offering already similar functionalities like those offered by Periscope and Facebook Live by letting users stream online right from their phones.
Streams are said to be viewable both within the app and on YouTube, with previous broadcasts saved for later playback.
According to a YouTube spokesperson who made it known that the case was just a rumour as he wouldn’t make any comment if those were true or not. He said
“We don’t comment on rumor or speculation” while he was questioned by TheVerge reporter. But if such would actually come alive, then it wouldn’t be much of a bug thing since the Video sharing service had always tried being the giant in the stream world. As its trying yo capitalise on live streaming via its Creator studio, there might still be a good chance Google inc is attempting to create more and more to make the advice more powerful. The company has also taken on Amazon’s Twitch with a separate YouTube Gaming service and app for video game streaming, which has been well received.
