Since the day one of technology, there have been healthy and brutal rivalry between top companies and even smaller ones. The likes of Apple and Samsung or Huawei taking on both companies. The new comer in the scene seems to be Xiaomi as the Chinese giant aims to take over from Huawei in smartphone business…or maybe I’m just overthinking it. But trolling one another might be an interesting thing we come across sometimes.
With the launch of it’s flagship, the Mi 110 and Mi 10 Pro, around the world, the company has had success with the device so far.
One interesting thing about the marketing strategy Xiaomi employed in selling the device can be noticed on the box of the device with the inscription “with easy access to the Google apps you use most”. This is seen as a direct marketing shot right at Huawei whose smartphones which are very popular in Europe but lacks the “Necessary” Google apps.
We all know that Huawei had been banned from working with US companies which led to the Google Android license being stripped away from the company and with the recent release of the P40 series across Europe, Google Play services didn’t come with the devices.

Xiaomi seems to be taking advantage of that to shoot it’s shot right at it’s Chinese rival in Europe.
The pricing of the Huawei P40 is about $999 and Xiaomi Mi 10 base price is much lower than that about $600. But truth be told, Xiaomi devices are really great right now and offer outstanding feature.
Not until recently is Honor (Huawei’s sub brand) rumored to be working incorporating an OLED panel on it’s Honor Play 4T pro smartphone unlike Xiaomi which will generously include AMOLED panels on it’s mid-range smartphones but not Huawei which only reserves this for their high-end smartphones.
So whether Google Play services are banned in China or not, the fact that Xiaomi devices can run these services right outside of the Chinese market gives Xiaomi an upper hand right above Huawei.
