In an attempt to diversify and reach even more audiences, Apple has now released an official Google Chrome browser’s extension which let you use your iCloud Keychain without needing to switch browsers.
Apple have simply come to terms with the fact that the Google Chrome browser is one of the biggest on the market with billions of users each month compared to the Safari browser.
However, for an avid Apple lover, they can have the iCloud Keychain in place of the dedicated password manager on the Chrome browser which will make it easier for users to simply retrieve their data whenever they switch from Windows to Mac.
This will work even if you have generated a strong password on other platforms such as Safari for example as it will be be available in Chrome when user is prompted for a login.

Passwords created in Chrome for Windows will also sync back to iCloud so they’ll be available on Apple devices as well.
Apple named the Chrome browser’ extension the iCloud Passwords which can be downloaded in the Chrome web store online.
Some details about the Chrome extension were revealed just this past week in an update for the iCloud Windows 10 app which showed a list of support for the iCloud Passwords Chrome Extension as a newer feature even though it hasn’t been released
