Based on one of the most recent CINNO Research report, it was revealed that Huawei and it’s sub brand both hold a whooping 40% share in the China mobile market which is a huge advantage to the company considering the fact that China itself is one of the largest smartphone market in the world.
A company dominating that sort toff market is guaranteed millions of sales with billions in revenue every year. Meanwhile Huawei wasn’t entirely enjoying the good wealth this year as it’s shipment in the region was reported to have fallen by 24.7% by the first half of the year 2020 compared to last year 2019.

Based on the report, Huawei alongside it’s Honor brand and then Vivo (and iQOO), Oppo (and RealMe) are the three companies that dominates the market with more than 71.9% of all the domestic smartphone shipments.
While these numbers are really good for the companies, the sharp decline on their reach and share value is based on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic which had led to a global economy meltdown not only in China but also around the world.

The report also showed that Huawei and it’s Honor sub brand sold about 58 million smartphone units combined which gave them the total share of 40.2% with a year on year increase of 4.9%. The other companies which were among the top share holders includes Vivo and it’s iQOO sub brand which shipped over 23.2 million smartphone units giving them a 16.1% market share while Oppo and it’s RealMe sub brand took 15.6% with over 22.6 million smartphone unit shipment which was a decline of 2.6% compared to the previous year for the company.
While big Xiaomi and it’s Redmi sub brand didn’t make it to the top 3, it definitely followed right behind Apple which takes the number 4th position with 11.8% market share while Xiaomi took the 5th place with 10.3% market share. Apple was able to ship about 17 million smartphone units while Xiaomi did 15 million which was a 1.7% decline on the company’s YOY growth.
There had in fact been reports that Apple alongside Huawei could lead the 5G smartphone market in the year 2020 based on the trajectory of both companies and with the iPhone 12 around the corner and the Huawei Mate 40 series which is usually the superior high-end device from the Chinese tech brand, the second half of the year could see a drastic change in the growth and shipments made by both companies.
