If you’re a big fan of the Chinese smartphone maker Meizu, then you should know that the company has now appointed a new CEO based on a recent letter sent to its employees with the signature at the bottom stating that Huang Zhipan is the new face of the company.
The new CEO happens to be the younger brother of the previous CEO Huang Zhang even though there is et to be any official announcement about this news.
How the new appointee will affect the direction and shape the future of the company to becoming a global phenomenon is yet unknown considering the fact that the company has faced a number of stronger competitors in China since it went public.
The release of both the Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro both helped the company achieve a sustained profitability last year according to an official press statement released by the tech firm.
Meizu is known for making very limited number of smartphone models which are usually of premium-grade and since that market isn’t really huge, this might explain why the company isn’t known very much among the wider audience of Android users especially outside of China.
The company has faced a different direction over the years since the resignation of its co-founder and former vice president Li Nan who stated that he would be going his own way to create a consumer brand which is called Numiao Technology.
