Honor continues to release great devices even though their design aesthetics has raised eyebrows in the past as they often look very similar to modern Hauwei devices but it seems we’re all fine with it now.
The company has debuted its Honor X7, Honor x8, and Honor X9 4G (a variant of its Honor X9 5G) all of which have 4G network support, extra camera hardware, and a less-impressive display panel that we’ll talk about in a minute.
Honor X7 is an entry-level devixe
This is the more affordable of the duo and it comes with some entry-level specifications including a Snapdragon 680 chipset, a big 6.64-inch LCD panel with 720P resolution, and a waterdrop notch – which is synonymous with entry-level devices and an 8MP front-facing camera.
At the back is a dual-ring camera module that looks like a Huawei P50 series – housing the device’s quad rear camera setup which includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultrawide sensor, and dual 2MP depth and macro sensors respectively.
The device runs Honor’s Magic UO 4.2 software which is based on the previous Android 11 OS with support for Google Play Services of course.
And just like any other entry-level device, the Honor X7 4G sports a 5,000mAh battery with a 22.5W SuperCHarge support via USB-C port. As for the price point, the Honor X7 is said to cost about US$165 for its 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version.
As for sales, you can start making the purchase by April 14th and it will come in Blue or Silver colors at Honor’s e-store or other licensed e-shops across the internet.
Honor X9 4G is an alternative of the 5G variant
The other device announced is the Honor X9 4G which is also powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset and has a bigger 64MP primary sensor and then other three cameras including an 8MP ultrawide lens, as well as two other 2MP sensors for macro and depth sensing.
The device sports a 90Hz refresh rate on the display compared to the Honor X9 5G variant which has a faster 120Hz refresh rate and the storage capacity starts from 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
And as for pricing, the Honor X9 4G is expected to start from US$260 and its availability is slated for April 14th just like the aforementioned X7 while color options will range from Black, Blue, and Silver.
