Xiaomi, the company which I call “The everything maker” is back at it again with it’s Mi Display 1A which is officially available on it’s Mall. This is a display which would go for just CN¥ 699 (US$98) is similar to the Mi Display in many aspect which includes the design as well. But the only significant difference between both display is the manufacturers with the original Mi Display being made by Gaochunag while the 1A is made by Shenzhen Zhaochi.
This obviously won’t be the first display made by the company as it released two display products by the end of 2019. The two products are the Xiaomi display equipped with a 23.8-inch IPS flat screen and the Xiaomi curved display equipped with a 34-inch curved screen.
Unlike the old manufacturers’ monitors which are being sold at the same price point, Xiaomi’s monitors are much better in terms of their performances and cost effectiveness. If you consider the pricing of this device, you’re definitely going to see there are no competitor offering the same quality at such price point.
The new Mi Display 1A sports a 23.8-Inch IPS flat display with a 1920 x 1080 Pixel HD resolution offering a 16:9 aspect ration and has a viewing angle of about 178°.
The panel has a common design with three sides having narrow bezels and the bottom bezel coming in wider. This might not be the idea gaming monitor as it only offer 60Hz refresh rate.
MIJIA Smart Socket 27W Fast Charge version
The next product Xiaomi also released is the MIJIA 27W Fast Charge Smart Socket which was released under crowdfunding. The retail pricing of the smart socket is about CN¥ 79 ($11).
The smart socket features three USB-A ports with each having a maximum power output of 27W but when the three ports are used at once, the power output drops to about 21W. There is also support for Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging protocol.
With that, the ports can charge smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and other appliances. It in fact includes a smart charging chip which matches the output power according to different models but not more than 27W.
Aside the USB ports, the smart charger also have three standard sockets with 10A overload protection. With that, when an electrical load exceeds the standard, the power will be automatically cut off which will help in avoiding the dangers caused by overload short circuit as well as accidental fire. After troubleshooting, you can turn it on again by simply pressing the power switch.
In addition, the internal copper strip adopts a higher-security one-piece non-breakpoint connection technology and high-quality tin-phosphor bronze structural materials. There is a safety door which shuts automatically when nothing is plugged into any of the sockets.
Overall., this is a high-tech smart socket for those that wants to include this to keeping their home appliances safe from being damaged due to irregular electrical currents and so forth. Other functionalities as being able to be used to charge your portable smart devices makes this an interesting smart socket anyone should look into buying.
