These are the smartphones that will be announced in the month of February

Even though this isn’t the time of the year that tech companies are always rushing to release their high-end flagship devices, one thing for sure is that there are often some high-end devices that gets released at the first quarter of each year and we’ll be listing those devices here.

Just this past month, some 11 smartphones were expected to debut and this month of February, we’re expecting even 16 more devices from well-established brands like Samsung, OPPO, realme, Redmi, Nubia, Lenovo, and so forth.

The Galaxy S22 series is one of the most anticipated and it’s expected to be the new merger of the Galaxy Note series with the Galaxy S series once and for all.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to sport some high-end specifications and powerful features out of the box. Being a Galaxy Note in disguise, it’ll look like the Galaxy Note by being boxy and will have support for the S-Pen.

But without any further ado, below are some of the smartphones we’re expecting to debut this month of February.

OPPO Reno 7

Finally, the OPPO Reno 7 series made its original debut in China last year but OPPO will also be spreading the sales of the device to India. The OPPO Reno 7 will be announced in India by Feb. 4th and the series will feature three models: Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro 5G.

Thwere will however be some differences between the China variant compared to the Indian model. According to reports, the base model will come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

In the camera department, we’re expecting a 48MP primary sensor and two other 2MP sensors to make up for a triple rear camera system while the selfie camera will be a 16MP snapper.

As for the processor, it’ll make use of a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset paired with an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As for the battery, you’ll get a 4,500mAh cell with 33W blazing-fast charging support.

The high-end Reno 7 Pro 5G is expected to be slightly bigger with a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution. It will also come with a triple rear camera setup with the primary sensor being 50MP coupled with another 8MP and 2MP. As for the front-facing selfie camera, the device’ll sport 32MP camera.

Powering the Reno 7 Pro 5G will be a Dimensity 1200 MAX chipset with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It’ll also feature a 4,500mAh battery while it’s charging speed will be powered by a 65W charging support.

The series is expected to start at around Rs. 29,990(~$401) in India.

Another chinese smartphone expected to debut in India this month of February is the Infinix Zero 5G. The device is expected to come with some premium-tier features and high-end specifications.

Do note that Infinix often push its “Zero” series as its high-end flagships so it’s not a news to see the device sporting Dimensity 900 chipset and a daster LPDDR5 RAM as well as a UFS 3.1 internal storage.

As for the display, the Infinix Zero 5G will come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Leaked images of the device showed a beautiful design aesthetics (especially, the yellow colored one). There is also support for a stylus pen. The Infinix Zero 5G is expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging.

Being labeled a “5G” device, it means its network capacity will be top-notch as report has it that the device will come with 13 5G bands.

As for the price point, the device could come with a IN₹ 20,000 (US$268) and color variant includes orange and black.


Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S

Xiaomi’s sub brand, Redmi never fail to release new devices and so, we’re expecting the company to debut its Note 11 series in India on the 9th of February. The device will come in two models: Note 11 and Note 11S.

Even though we’re few days away to seeing the release of the device in India, suggestions and assumptions has it that the base model could sport a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with 90Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution.

As for the camera system, it’s certainly going to be multiple (triple or quad) with the arrangement being 50MP, 8MP, 2MP, and another 2MP. But we’re expecting the high-end Note 11S to sport a bigger 108MP sensor.

Powering the high-end Note 11S could be the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset while the base model could sport the Snapdragon 680 chipset. Both are expected to support the fast LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The battery capacity of both devices is rumored to be similar (5,000mAh) and could support 33W fast charging technology. While the base price is expected to be about IN₹ 13,999 (US$187) while the high-end model could be about IN₹ 16,999 (US$227).

The VIVO T1 5G is expected to debut in India on the 9th of February and the device is expected to be a cool mid-ranger with great values. According to notable tipsters, the device won’t come with the same specifications as its Chinese variant.

That aside, the device is expected to sport a Snapdragon 685 chipset, big display and fast charging support of course. Rumor also has it that the starting price tag could be about IN₹ 20,999 (US$268).

The biggest announcement this month of February would be the Galaxy S22 series and while there are tons of reports and leaks about the look and feel of the device, the Galaxy 22 Ultra will be the the rejuvenation of the Note series in disguise.

The Galaxy S22 series will include three devices: Galaxy S22, S22+ and then the S22 Ultra. Both the Galaxy S22 and S22+ will come with an FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x panels while the screen size will be 6.1-inch for the base model and 6.6-inch for the mid-range.

As for the high-end Galaxy S22 Ultra, the device is expected to come with a QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

In the camera department, the first two models are expected to sport a triple rear camera system while the high-end S22 Ultra will sport a quad camera setup with a 108MP primary sensor.

The chipset will be region-based. Some regions will get Galaxy S22 series with an Exynos 2200 chipset while others will get Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

The S22 will pack the smallest battery out of the bunch i.e 3,700mAh. The S22+ will pack a 4,500mAh, while the S22 Ultra will have a 5,000mAh battery. The Ultra and Plus will feature 45W fast charging support. On the other hand, will have a 25W fast charging speed. The series is expected to start at US$899.

realme 9 Pro is the next on the list and it’s expected to go to both the Indian and European markets by Feb. 15th and 16th. The device is expected to come in two models: Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+.

The realme 9 Pro will sport a nice 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate while the 9 Pro+ will have a slightly smaller 6.43-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

But, the display on the 9 Pro+ will double up as an in-display fingerprint scanner. The vanilla 9 Pro will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

In the camera department, the Realme 9 Pro will come with a triple rear setup: 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor and another smaller 2MP lens while the Realme 9 Pro+ will come with the same triple setup but different configuration.

The base model will come with a Snapdragon 685 chipset while the Realme 9 Pro+ will sport a Dimensity 920 chipset. As for storage option, we’re expecting about IN₹ 15,000 (US$ 201) in India.

Motorola isn’t giving up on smartphones and the company is said to be working on its Moto Edge 30 Pro which will debut later on this month (if possible) as there’s an official launch date announced or leaked yet.

According to multiple sources, the device is expected to sport some high-end features such as an OLED panel with a whopping 144Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage as well as a big 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging.

At the moment, there’s no detail regarding its pricing.

iQOO 9 series is the next on the list and even though the device was announced in China this past month, it’ll now be making its international debut in India later on this month according to reports.

In fact, the Indian model is said to have passed several certifications which hints that its debut may be closer than expected.

According to suggestions and earlier reports, the device could sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset for the high-end model while the base iQOO 9 could sport the previous Snapdragon 888+ chipset.

However, both devices will come with a high refresh rate and AMOLED panel. In the camera department, the high-end iQOO 9 Pro will feature a triple rear camera system with the primary sensor being 50MP. As for the base model, you’ll get the same triple setup but different configuration.

As for the pricing, the base model is expected to start at IN₹ 40,000 (US$535)


Realme GT2

Another device from Realme is the GT2 series which made its debut in China. There are reports that the device will make its international debut in both India and around the globe.

The device is expected to have the same specifications as the Chinese models such as Snapdragon 888 chipset for the base model while the high-end GT2 Pro could sport the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

Also, the Realme GT2 Pro will come with a big 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display and a fast refresh rate while the base model will have a smaller 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel.

In the camera department, both devices will have a triple setup but different configuration while packing the same 5,000mAh battery capacity and a 65W fast charging technology.


Redmi K50

The second Redmi device on the list is the Redmi K50 series which is expected to debut after the Spring festival this month.

According to reports, the device will come in three models: Redmi K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+, and K50 Gaming Edition. The base model will come with Dimensity 700 chipse the mid-range model is expected to come with a Snapdragon 870 chipset. Then the high-end K50 Pro+ is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and finally, the K50 Gaming Edition will sport the new Dimensity 9000 chipset.

All of the devices are expected to come with support for the blazing-fast 120W charging technology with an initial debut to be in China first before heading internationally.


Nubia Red Magic 7

There have been numerous reports that the Nubia Red Magic 7 will debut in China sometimes this month and we can’t wait to get our hands on the powerful gaming smartphone.

It’s expected to be powered by the high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and come with a big 6.8-inch FHD+ panel and a blazing-fast 165Hz refresh rate.

Even though it’s a gaming smartphone, it’ll still come with powerful camera configuration with a 64MP primary setup for its triple setup.

The device was spotted with 18GB of RAM and a battery that has 165W fast charging support. As of now, the details of the Red Magic 7 are scarce but we are expecting to hear more in the coming days.


Black Shark 5

Then we have the Black Shark 5 gaming smartphone that’s also expected to debut this month of February. The device is expected to come in two models: Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro.

The base model is expected to come with an AMOLED panel and a 120Hz refresh rate while the high-end model will offer a 144Hz refresh rate. In terms of display, the high-end model will also come with a QHD+ resolution while the base model will only have an FHD+ display.

A device of those caliber is expected to feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset but there are reprota that the base model will make use of the previous Snapdragon 888+ chipset.

There will be a 5,000mAh battery in the Pro and a 4,600mAh battery inside the vanilla. The duo will have 120W fast charging support.


Lenovo Legion Y90

Lenovo slated the release of its Legion Y90 for January 1st but for whatever reason, this couldn’t happen. But there is a new report that has it that the device could be arriving just after the Spring festival in China.

According to reports, the device will come with a big 6.9-inch FHD+ display and a high-refresh rate. It will come with a triple rear camera setup and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset as well as a 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

It will pack a 5,600mAh dual-cell battery with support for 68W fast charging technology. The device will come in various colors including Black, White, Green, Gold, Red, Cyan, Grey, and Silver. It is expected to compete with the upcoming Black Shark 5, Redmi K50 Gaming, and Red Magic 7.


Vivo V23e 

Another VIVO device on the list is the V23e which is expected to be released in India with a price tag of about IN₹ 25,000 (US$334). Being a mid-range device, it’s expected to pack some good features and specifications.

One of such is a moderate 6.44-inch display with FHD+ resolution and a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor.

Rumors has it that the device could be powered by the Dimensity 810 chipset and an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage while the battery will be 4,050mAh with 44W fsst charging.

Another Realme device is the C31 which is expected to arrive in many Asian markets this month. The device will come with some budget-friendly features such as a big 5,000mmAh battery but without a fast charging (just 10W) and the device will reportedly run Android 11 OS out of the box with a support for Bluetooth 5.

As for the price and other relevant information, we have nothing so far.


Samsung Galaxy A33 5G, A53 5G

The last on the list are the Galaxy A33 5G and A53 5G both of which are the newest in the A-series line up. The first one (Galaxy A33 5G) is expected to come with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 48MP primary sensor (with quad rear camera setup). Powering the device will reportedly be a Dimensity chipset but nothing much apart from these information.

On the other hand is the Galaxy A53 which will also have a moderate 6.46-inch display and it’s expected to come with the Exynos 1200 chipset and a 4,680mAh battery. It’s also expected to support 25W fast charging and its primary sensor will be a triple setup with a 64MP primary sensor.

There’s no price information for both of these phones.
