One of the prominent Bluetooth-enabled true wireless earbuds makers across the globe is Skullcandy and the brand is out with a new pair of TWS earbuds targeted at audio enthusiasts seeking a premium, work-horse bud that is also affordable at the same time.

The new Skullcandy MOD has a couple of interesting features such as Clear Voice Smart Mic technology that utilizes artificial intelligence to reduce background noise as well as isolate the speaker’s voice on calls in order to provide true audio clarity.

Another cool feature is the Stay-Aware mode which allows users to change the amount of noise they can hear for awareness of what is around them. Then there is the Tile technology that let users ring either earbud for their last known location in case they are missing.

Those three cool features are already making me want one of these devices. The Skullcandy MOD is expected to sport an IP55 sweat, water, and dust resistance so that should cement their claims about the device being useful for both fun, exercising, and working conditions.

If all the above features are yet to pull you towards the device, another cool feature is the battery longevity. The TWS earbuds are expected to sport a whopping 7 hours long battery life on each earbud while the charging case should give about 34 hours.

There is fast charging support whereby a 10 minutes charge can get you up to 2 hours of usage. There’s also wireless charging for those who love that.

Other cool technology includes the presence of Bluetooth 5.2 but as of now, we have no idea what codec the Skullcandy MOD will use. And there’s multi-point pairing so you can pair the earphones to multiple devices at once.

There’s an accompanying mobile application to further customize the user experience with the ability to create a custom EQ or change the presents to whatever it is you’d like it to be.
