The IPhone X is a win win for those that can afford it

Beautiful but expensive. It's the first iPhone with a large display despite it's petite frame

With the all new design from Apple on the iPhone X formally pronounced as “iPhone Ten” which is expected to be on sale out starting from.

November, the fantasy of holding a great smartphone all wrapped up in a small near bezel-less case with lots of awesome premium features makes us realise that Apple is a real pace setter.

Considering the first ever 5.8 inch screen with an OLED display, those are first timers with the Apple devices. It’s all cool and we all love the new look.

The device is expected to range within the area of $999.99 which might be a sort of turn off to those who finds it too expensive.

I’m not personally an iPhone fan but this one is well worth the whole price.

One turn off I usually have initially was the small screen which I don’t prefer. A new upgrade to as high as 5.8 is a really smart move which Apple is actually looking great doing.

Unlike Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which is 6.3 with its body still ding some excess spaces on the device’s entire length, the IPhone X is all going to be wrapped up in a small piece of glass and little metal. It’s awesome which means we can enjoy a huge screen benefits while still fitting it all up in a small gadget. It’s cool.

This could actually be the demise of the iPhone 8 Plus itself because of many factors.

Considering the design and features.

With some high tech features which extends to many parts of the smartphone, we couldn’t expect more.
Like I’ve said, it’s worth the wait because this is considered the high end and the most expensive iPhone. Unless you’re so adamant about the iPhone 8 and the 8 Plus, then keeping your fingers gets crossed until the release of the special edition, that won’t be a bad idea.

iPhone 14 news, leaks, renders, and everything else you need to know

Apple may announce a 5G-capable budget-friendly iPhone SE in March

Preorder is starting by the 27th of October while the official launch is the 3rd of November’s.

Aside the fact that the iPhone X is nearly bezel – less, the iPhone’s iconic home button (which many have nearly tried emulating) wouldn’t be there anymore making it reassemble Android smartphone to some extent but not really. It makes it quite unique and beautiful.

Navigation is therefore going to be adapted to as long as you’d prefer to follow the trends of this new technology. Unless you don’t want to deal with it, then you can stick up with the old home button.
As part of its security measures, the device will feature Face ID unlike the older Touch ID which means fingerprints are gone on the X.

Also, this is the new Apple’s device to actually use a portrait mode on the from-facing camera with the presence of just a single camera lens instead of two.

As amazing as it will be, I’ve always been a critique of Apple ‘so exorbitant prices considering other competitors that makes quite nice smartphone but under lesser pricing though the giant feature rich Samsung Galaxy Note 8 isn’t selling up to a thousand but $930 is a high price.

While it’s an amazing smartphone, there are many things about it that you should really know about which might be a turn on while there are some turn offs too. But well I’d highlight it all below though.

1.) Cameras are of high quality

Being the first and the only iPhone that will feature Optical Image Stabilisation on both its rear lenses, this is a win win for those who want a feature rich camera with absolutely great functionality.

Although the fact that I said OIS is a win win might not entirely be a convincing thing for some considering the fact that the IPhone 8 Plus also has dual lens camera.
The truth here is that OIS is way more powerful than those on the 8 Plus.

This feature functionality can help enhance low-light shots while enhancing images and video shots to become better looking at the end.

So no more having to seek lights all around while taking pictures… get the point?

Although you’ve to accept that you’re not using the Galaxy Note 8 which also has an OIS enabled dual cameras which is way far better than those on the older iPhone 7 Plus.

Image stability is a very good feature which enables a stabilized shot even when the device is shaken multiple times during shooting.

That’s a very good improvement which we noticed in the new iPhone X making it a really better upgrade unlike the older iPhone 7 Plus.

A sharp front-facing camera shot while taking selfies enables some really true and in depth visual results which is quite missing in those versions we can call the predecessors. And again, this can be a real good deal if you can wait till November’s official launch.

2.) The design is huge and awesome

By huge I mean it’s the hugest iPhone ever. A whooping 5.8 is a really big display yet buy Apple inc. While doesn’t totally affect the size of the entire device itself considering its ultra-slim and nearly bezel-less design makes the management of a huge screen to be successfully place within a handy casing unlike the iPhone 7 Plus which although has a lesser screen size of 5.5 inch but is way bigger because of the presence of the iphone’s home button and the upper parts which adds to the bezels making it way bigger than the iPhone X in question.

The new design is a really good step forward by Apple although I won’t conclude Apple took this one FROM Samsung or Other Android phone makers considering the fact that many have tried in the past to copy Iphone’s designs. But anyway, it’s entirely unique and I love it.

Now as a matter of fact the iPhone X is way slimmer than the traditional iPhone 7 Plus which is a bigger variant of the device production line, it’s lighter and it’s the first iPhone with an improved OLED Super Retina Display which makes it all awesome.

It’s a very huge competitor with the likes of other nearly bezel-less smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which also has no home button but features an awesome Super AMOLED display or even the LG V30 or Xiaomi’s Mi Mix and Mi Mix 2 .

3.) The New Face ID is really killing it

This a good move by Apple which is probably parting way with the older Touch ID because the home button isn’t present on this device anyway.

The Face ID utilises the device’s front facing camera and IR Camera to do multiple facial scanning while still utilising about 30,000 invisible infrared dots which all work in getting your actual face which thus makes you unlock your device with your face. That’s a good thing and I think it’s really hot.

So rather than getting your fingerprints scanned, you only raise your smartphone to face you and then swipe it off to unlock.

Another thing I think is really going to be controversial is the “Fullness of security” of this feature although it’s said to work awesomely with third party applications which enables mobile payments.

Although the Face ID is cool and sort of make the job of securing securing our devices easier but many of us are so used to the older Touch ID whereby you only press the home button with the fingertips rather than having to always lift up your device and staring at the screen hoping it scans you and gets itself unlocked.

It’s about embracing the future anyway.

As I’ve said earlier about the security of the Face ID which I know probably popped up in your mind, after all, there are people with extreme lookalike twin, photographs etc which might in case act as a security breach, all these aren’t yet in evaluation until we probably lay our hands on the device and test it completely out to see how far it’s security can go.

Because the fingerprints are more secured from my own perspectives but we might trust Apple on this one though. The truth is only when we physically handle the device and have a long time with for further evaluation.

4.) Fast Charging is also featured

That fast charging is featured doesn’t mean it is bundled with the device.

That’s a very huge turn off from me considering the fact that I’ve gotta pay as huge as $999.99 for this piece of gadget but basic things aren’t coming with it but separately. Although that’s not a big deal to some.

But the fact that you can actually get around 50% of battery power just with 30 minutes of charging makes the fast charging really promising. Although all you’ll need is a Lightning – to – USB-C adaptor which comes at its own price.

Another fancy thing we look up to is Apple’s own AirPower which is a Wireless charging Mat though that won’t be available until next 2018.

For about $175 (Amazon Marketplace price), you will be able to charge your new iPhone X, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, AirPods(if it’s in the wireless charging case) and the Apple watch Series 3.

5.) No Home Button Seriously

You’re going to learn about the new tweaks in the iPhone X technology considering the reality that the home button is way long gone.

Switching between applications, launching the Apple Siri Assistant or using the Apple Pay will cost you some learning curves because the older convenience had been replaced with swipes.
But despite the ditching of the home button, features are still sort of intact.

For example, launching Siri will require you “Press and Hold” the side button while The Apple Assistant comes to your aid.

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then continue to hold while swiping left or right to switch apps. Is how you do multitasking

While still tapping the side button twice helps to launch the Face ID feature if you want to use the Apple Pay.

You see!

Nothing really changed just that to need to keep pressing the side button lots of times to do something which were easier to do back when the home button was still presented right in front of your gadget. That could be No to some or Cool to others.

6.) Might be a limited production

Many of us that like iphones find this cool no matter what. But being rumored to be of limited supply makes me feel it’s not totally cool.

Lets say you seriously want to get yourself one of this new technology, you might be okay following pre-orders which starts by October.

But assuming you don’t really consider the last device as a big deal, then opting for other extreme competitors which are quite cheaper is a good look.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 for example is about $930 in the US Dollar while the traditional iPhone successors iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are way lesser than the $999.99 price tag slapped on the iPhone X.

The iPhone X isn’t cheap at all. It’s pricing starts at $999 in the US, £999 in the UK and AU$1,579 in Australia. The 256GB version costs $1,149, £1,149 and AU$1,829. Preorders begin Oct. 27, and the phone ships Nov 3rd.

7.) Something is missing

When Samsung suddenly jumped from Its Galaxy Note 5 to Note 7,we didn’t think something was really wrong. But it went really bad.

While I’m not saying that the iPhone X will go wrong but it’s just worth relating things at times.

While you might not get the point yet, the point I’m making is that the X or “Hex” as you might have pronounced it earlier isn’t actually “Hex” but “Ten”. “X” itself means 10 in a Roman Numeral.

Now that you’re getting along with me, you can see why I referred to the GALAXY Note 5 to 7 because as of now, there are iPhone 8 and iPhone 10 but where the heck is iPhone 9?

Wait…. I probably assumed too much?
Well if this can be a big leap forward into the newer versions which we can expect in the future iPhones that comes our ways next year, then we’ve gotta get used to this one as soon as possible.

So the absence of an home button might be a taste of what the company is actually planning to offer us next. Or probably not.
