Huawei continues to reinvent itself by releasing an array of products during its smart life conference where it unveiled products like the Freebuds 4, MateBook 15, Smart Screen SE, Smart Scale Pro and then Children’s Watch 4X New Shinning edition which is based off the previously announced Children’s Watch 4X released back in 2020.
The new smartwatch comes with a pretty decent design which is meant to impress kids’ curiosity thanks to its illuminating outlook.
The device has an upgraded woven strap which is able to reflect a bit of starlight when placed under a direct light and this update to the previous one is interesting.
Some cool features Huawei adds up to this device includes a dual camera system on the side and its fast processor to help it work as fast as possible.
It consists of an 8MP and 5MP shooters which can both be used to take pictures as well as record slow motion videos and do face recognition for security purposes.
In addition, high definition video calls could be done using the camera, very useful when parents seek to monitor what their child is up to at any instant and view the environment the child is located.
Being available in China means that it works with a number of services such as WeChat. It’s basically a smartphone on your wrist.
It has IP68 water resistance and can hold up to 50 meters of water. It feature different features like swimming mode with which a user can shoot videos underwater which is pretty cool.
Huawei also adds its NLT technology and GPS to better enhance the functionalities of the Children’s Watch 4X New Shinning Edition.
In terms of power, it has an 800mAh battery which can be charged up to 50% under just 20 minutes.
There is also support for NFC for contactless payment as well as built-in Xiaodu voice assistant 3.0. The watch arrives with 4G Netcom and VoLTE capabilities compatible with China’s three major telecoms providers – China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom.
Its being released in two color options such as Nebula Blue and Nebula Purple and costs about CN¥ 1,398 (US$217). You can find it on the Huawei Mall for pre-sale but sales starts as early as June 1st.
