The newest from Huami, the smartwatch and fitness tracker brand known for making reputable watches such as the Amazfit Verge, Pace or Stratos is back at it again with the new Amazfit GTS 2 Mini as well as the Amazfit Pop Pro.

The new Amazfit GTS 2 Mini is basically the lite version of the Amazfit GTS 2 while the other device is the high-end variant hence the “Pro” branding.

In terms of design, the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini is pretty smaller compared to the main model and it has a 1.55-inch AMOLED display with a 354 x 306 pixel and 301 PPI which gives it a bright and colorful display.

Out of the box, you get some 50+ watch faces as well as AOD functionality which is meant to give you endless customization capabilities with the smartwatch.

Still on the design of the Amazfit GTS 2, the body is made out of aluminum alloy materials while the bottom is plastic. The straps are made of silicone materials and its certified to being a 5ATM water-resistant.

In terms of its dimension, it measures 40.5 x 35.8 x 8.9mm and weighs around 19.5g without the strap on it.

The Amazfit GTS 2 Mini comes with the Huami’s BioTracker 2™ PPG Biological Optical Sensor (heart-rate sensor, SpO2 sensor), accelerometer, gyro sensor, compass, ambient light sensor, vibration motor, and microphone.

And it can be connected with any smartphone via Bluetooth 5.0 BLE as well as offering support for the Zepp app. It has the GNSS (GPS and GLONASS) with which you can track your activity while also using NFC for contactless payment and transit passes.

Talking about features, it supports 70+ sports modes, hear-rate monitoring, blood oxygen level monitoring, sleep monitoring, menstrual cycle monitoring, stress monitoring, automatic exercise detection, and PAI score.

It also sports other common features such as clock, alarm, stopwatch, weather, music playback control, camera shutter, app notifications, call & message alerts, find my phone, and Xiaomi Xiao AI voice assistant.

And as for the power of the device, it bundles a 220mAh battery which can be recharged using a Magnetic charging base. And based on Huami’s claims, it can go on for about 14 days by an average user while an heavy user will down the power under 7 days but as a basic watch, it can go on for a whooping 21 days.

Amazfit GTS 2 Mini Pricing and Availability

Currently, the price point of the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini is about US$106 which is basically CN¥699 and it will be released in different color options such as Deep Pine Green, Rose Powder and Obsidian Black. And if you’re in China, pre-order has started already while sales will start by December 10th. But its availability overseas isn’t yet clear but even if there is plan for that, it’s definitely going to be towards the end of the year.
