You might have heard about the beautiful smartphone. And Honor…Huawei’s sub brand is really at it again this year 2019 to compete in the Android smartphone market right up the big guys. When I first heard about the Honor View 20’s utilization of punch-hole to house the device’s camera, I thought how innovative but crude that would be but then voila we had it just as we were told.
The device with it’s premium features which sets it aside from existing big names such as Samsung Galaxy S10 or even the next Huawei Mate.
The device which made it’s official debut last December 26 in China by Honor Chief Executive made us realize the bigger visions the company has to take over the mobile industry by strong might in 2019. It’s also announced that there would be a Maserati version of the device which would make a perfect sense.
There are two versions of the devices released, the 6 GB RAM version with a 64 GB ROM space which goes for $400 in China and then a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM version which has a slightly higher price tag in the $475 realm. Although the pricing for the Maserati edition isn’t yet known but there were leaks and speculations that the version would cost as high as $800 for the Chinese market.
The device comes in a full screen or what the company calls “All-View Display” screen with it’s front camera located within a punch-hole right at the left corner of the device’s display. The device runs the latest Huawei’s own SoC, the Kirin 980 processor along with triple AI powered camera lenses at the rear part of the device.
The powerful camera is there for the new AI enhanced pictures which is ensured by Dual-NPU (Neutral Processing Unit) and dual ISP (Image Signal Processor). Also, the device will feature the “Link Turbo” feature, an AI feature that allows downloading through Wi-Fi and 4G usage, so there is no delay while using this device.
While we’ve not gotten a unit of the device right now at BrumPost, we plan to work on acquiring one by ourselves and use it for a review to see how powerful the device really is.
