There have been endless news and rumors about Samsung wanting to bring the folding phones into the hands of more people but the high price of the device is one of the big reasons why not too many people will own one but then what about the Galaxy Z Fold Lite which is said to follow the trail of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 that was unveiled during the Galaxy unpacked.

While the name isn’t officially confirmed to being “Galaxy Z Fold Lite” the naming is based on the assumption that Samsung basically wants to create a much mid-range tier version of it’s premium folding phone. There were rumors about the device being sported on the Wi-Fi Alliance with the model number SM-F415F whereby the letter “F” is usually used for the foldable lineup while the serial number is on the low-end.

The interesting thing is the fact that the device has now being spotted among the support pages of Samsung’s official website for India which implied that the device could be heading to the Indian market first before being global or maybe it was never meant to be in the first place maybe Samsung just want to target some regions with the device who knows.

But by merely seeing the device’s model number listed on the Samsung’s India website version support page doesn’t imply that the device will be launched in the country just yet but there is possibility.

One of the prominent rumors about the Galaxy Fold “Lite” is that the device will still sport some high-end technology such as the Snapdragon 865 chipset but will ditch the 5G connectivity as well as the Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) layers which the company claimed to have used on it’s high-end flagship foldable smartphones.

The pricing though is said to still be in the north of US$900 which will be a big price cut from the previous Fold and the Z Flip. But so far, nothing much has been revealed about the device just yet so we’ll wait for more insights about the device to see what’s up with it.
