Coronavirus is spiraling but well kept in control using strong measures by both governmental bodies and private institutions which had lead to travel ban and events cancellations. Chinese tech firms are even stepping up their battle up against the novel Coronavirus by making provision for important amenities that will keep people safe locally and internationally.

Both Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation shared clinical experience from frontline medical institutions in the form of digiral handbook based upon a new report on Wednesday.

The medical staff are from First Affiliated Hospital as well as Zhejiang University School of Medicine (FAHZU) which had both admitted a total of 104 patients with confirmed cases of Coronavirus in over 50 days.

The hospital has so far been able to handle the health crisis without a single medical staff infection, missed diagnosis or patient death which is a great milestone in this time of important medical attention to those infected by the coronavirus.

“Today, with the spread of the global pandemic, these experiences are precious and the most-important weapon for medical personnel,” Jack Ma, billionaire and Alibaba co-founder, wrote in the handbook. “We hope that, with this handbook, doctors and nurses in other affected areas can learn from experience as they face this battle, without having to start from scratch.”

With more than 181,000 people affected with the virus globally in more than 150 countries and regions, more Chinese tech giants are also providing free online consultation to Chinese who lives abroad.

Companies such as Baidu and JD Health have both launched their consultation platforms on Tuesday which is free for overseas Chinese and offer links with doctors and medical experts in Mainland China.

The JD Health offers a 24 hours consultation from over 300 doctors from numerous clinics which also includes about 38 doctors and medical experts who have had frontline experience of the Covid-19 disease during it’s first outbreak in Hubei.

For Chinese who cannot speak the country’s language, there are about 20 doctors who can provide consultation in both English and Chinese.

Baidu also launched a quite similar platform during the time of the pandemic’s escalation which enables Chinese oversea to utilize it’s search engine to access medical services as well as medical services for consultations which includes pneumonia.

The online medical team is composed of doctors from public hospitals who have received training for the diagnosis and treatment of the novel coronavirus. In order to provide a live-streamed presentation daily from experts and frontline medical staffs, the platform is able to team up with Chinese embassy in Italy in order to invite input from a Chinese medical expert sent to the European country in order to share prevention knowledge and treatment measures.

Alibaba Health had earlier this month joined its affiliate, Alipay to offer overseas Chinese free online medical consultations.

Chinese tech companies are also joining the effort to donate medical supplies to other countries, with smartphone makers Oppo and Xiaomi donating masks to some European countries.

Jack Ma even announced the donation of some 2 million masks and 500,000 coronavirus test kits to the US by his Foundation in order to further combat the pandemic outbreak as well as another pledge to donate another 2 million masks to Europe last week.
