Google yesterday banned Zoom video conferencing application from it’s employees’ computers due to security concerns.
“Recently, our security team informed employees using Zoom Desktop Client that it will no longer run on corporate computers as it does not meet our security standards for apps used by our employees,” Google spokesman Jose Castaneda said.
Meanwhile employees can still use the platform straight from their mobile devices and browsers. Zoom is currently facing issues over it’s lack of end-to-end encryption of meeting sessions and “Zoombombing” whereby uninvited person can crash into a meeting session.
