Since the beginning of the global spread of the COVID-19, there have been more cities lockdown, event shutdown and social distancing encouraged worldwide making it necessary for everyone to stay close to their loved ones mainly via the internet.

As more companies have allowed their workers to go totally remote, the need for constant communication through the internet is important for everyone to stay updated. Google in fact increased the number of participants on it’s Duos platform.

So as cyber communication becomes really essential, the United Arab Emirate (UAE) had reversed it’s ban on web communication services like the Google Hangouts Meet, Cisco Webex, Avaya Spaces, BlueJeans and Slack. All services previously officially unreachable from within the country.

If you think about it, this ban revision is very important to the lives of people living in the country as it offer them more avenue of communication.

Other services like the Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Zoom and Blackboard are now available.

The main point here would be the fact that the country wants to limit the movement of it’s citizens from 8PM to 6AM until the 5th, April as it undertakes a massive public cleaning program.

The lifting of the ban is expected to facilitate working from home and of course that should surely work out for them.

With many of its residents being expatriates and with so much foreign involvement in business, it is pretty natural for many to largely rely on remote working solutions already.

This solutions are really important and much needed now as people are expected to stay far apart from one another while scientists can work in finding vaccines to the ravaging Coronavirurs pandemic.

Meanwhile, what if after the pandemic is over, will the government of the UAE place the ban on these service once more as that remains a big question or will this probably change the face of digital communication in the country forever especially from such foreign giant tech companies.
