We’ve all been clamoring about the next Apple’s event especially the time when the iPhone 12 series will be announced and now there is an official time for the release which is going to be the 15th of September at 10 am PT and the event will be held online-only.
This is the time we’ll get to see other amazing Apple’s products which is likely to be featured is the Watch Series 6 based on the inscription “Time flies” which hints the focus on the next generation smart watch from Apple rather than the 5G-focused smartphones which is much more anticipated by fans of the company.
The point of moving the show to the internet is basically due to the COVID-19 lockdown which had caused a lot of events in 2020 to be either cancelled altogether or just hosted online and this is one of such much like the June’s Apple WWDC 2020.

Every September, the tech giant holds an event where it unveils it’s next-gen products which usually includes the iPhones, iPads and new Watch series and some times, the company do hold a second event around October when it unveils its iPads and Macs in case they didn’t make it to the September launch.

Things seems to have flipped a bit this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic which is why the wearables could be the pinpoint next Tuesday, 15th of September. But it’s worth noting that the next generation iPhones will sport a 5G technology based on leaks and insider information gotten about the device but reports also mentioned that there will be delays to the actual launch of the next-gen iPhone 12 series which could be by October.
The Apple Watch was introduced under the leadership of Tim Cook and the product line has been doing really well since then. While the company makes a large chunk of its revenue from the iPhone, the company has been diversifying its portfolio to including services as well such as the streaming service and cloud service.
The next generation Apple Watch 6 is said to be a great health-monitoring device which will help people monitor their health much better which is something that is much needed during this time of COVID-19 pandemic.
And the success of the Apple Watch is just outstanding which makes it topple the industry based on the high quality of the smart watches the company produces. It was reported that the Apple Watch last year outsold the entire Swiss watch industry by a huge margin, according to Strategy Analytics. Apple shipped an estimated 31 million units in 2019, while all Swiss watch brands combined accounted for 21 million shipments, the research firm said.
While the iPads and the Mac computers have also seen a huge rise in their demands by consumers basically due to the pandemic as people needed to work from home or school online. In the U.S., report says that about 13 out of the 15 biggest school districts are holding virtual classes this fall. All these adds up to the point why Apple seems to be doing quite well in the tech industry as of late even though the company’s sales of the iPhone seems to be on the decline by a bit.
Consumers are said to be eyeing a better upgrade to previous generation iPhones especially with the support for the 5G network which wasn’t included in the previous iPhone 11 series. The new designs of the next iPhone 12 series is also expected to take the boxy design much like the old-gen iPhone 4 and 5 or the iPad Pro which has this squared shapes by the sides.

Another thing we could see would be the new line-up of Apple computers with the Apple Silicon chipsets powering them. The company hasn’t shared too much about the new development though but when the news broke that Apple will be dropping Intel for it’s own microprocessing chip, we know it’s definitely going to be one of the best to handle the work.
Apple said it’ll continue to sell Intel-powered computers for now, but it’s clear where the company is headed.
“Hardware and software is fundamental to everything we do,” Apple’s CEO Tim Cook said when announcing the effort this summer. “It will take Mac to the next level.”
It also appears there’s an augmented reality component to Apple’s event on Sept. 15, based on the interactive invitation.
Apple has been pushing AR over the past several years. The most notable example is the popularity of the Pokemon Go game on its iPhones. The company also has been working on AR and VR goggles, but it’s unlikely to launch the device in September.Â
The company’s AR aspirations had been driven by apps and services . With upgrades coming to the next-gen iPad Air for example, this could further help the Apple’s ARKit to have a much more immense features as well as a larger screen which will be there for developers to explore and manipulate but it’s unlikely that a new Air would have the Pro’s depth-sensing Lidar sensor which is one of the technology helping it with AR capability.
