It was announced later on this year, September to be precise and many critics said it’s not sensible enough considering the fact that even Amazon Prime failed to match up against Netflix but that didn’t stop the video subscription streaming service to earn a SAG nomination.

So far, The Morning Show has received at least three Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations which a great news for Apple as it pushes it’s own streaming service to the mainstream right up against the giant, Netflix.

Actors such as Steve Carell as well as Bill Crudup who both played Mitch Kessler and Corey Ellison respectively are on the receiving end of the nomination for the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award.

Meanwhile Jennifer Aniston also got a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. She played the role of Alex Role character in the Morning Show making the number of nominees three even though her co-star Reese Witherspoon didn’t get a nomination.

Do note this isn’t the only award nomination the Morning Show will be getting. It has also been put up for the Golden Globe Awards which includes one for the Best Drama Series where both Aniston as well as Aniston are both running for best actress awards.

The SAG Awards will take place next month, January 19th while the Golden Globes will be held just in two weeks prior which is on 5th January. This will be a milestone for the continuity of the Apple TV+ as it receives it’s first awards despite still been new in the streaming industry but it wouldn’t be a saddening thing if The Morning Show didn’t get any awards but the fact it got nominated means a lot.

Apple TV+ only launched on November 1 and is already gathering a pace. New shows are arriving all the time and more are due to arrive in the coming weeks and months.
