The Galaxy Buds+ had failed us and we needed a much better wireless earbuds with the Active Noise Cancellation technology on and AKG N400 seems to be the response to that complaint as the device offers really interesting features aside the ANC. The little down side here is that the device is about 30% more expensive that the Galaxy Buds+ though not anywhere the AirPods Pro.
The AKG N400 True Wireless Earbuds have an 8.2mm drivers and also come with a selection of tips which also include a comply foam tips.
Powerful enough to last you for about 6 hours while the ANC enabled can dwindle the battery life by 1 hour reducing it to 5 hours. But as for the case, the device can last give you an extra 6 hours making it all 12. And it charges quickly too, a 10 minute charge is enough for 1 hour of playback. The case supports wireless charging.

As usual, the Active Nnoise Cancellation technology uses two microphones on each earbud to produce a really distortion-free audio quality which can be controlled from the device’s app interface (Ambient Aware) while tapping the left earbud will turn on TalkThru which basically allows you to ear your environment.
Beam forming is used to pick up your voice clearly (while blocking background noise) during calls.
As for the right earbud, it can perform tasks such as skipping tracks or answering calls and even adjust volumes by swiping up and down.
Additionally, you can use voice commands for digital assistants – Bixby, Siri and Google Assistant are supported.
What’s more interesting is the fact that the AKG N400 is certified IPX7 water resistance for about 30 minutes under 1M of fresh water so it might not be an ideal earbuds for swimming though no amount of rain and sweat can scare these earbuds.
The N400 only shows up only on Samsung’s Korean site for now where they cost KRW 230,000 ($190/€170, compared to the Galaxy Buds+ which go for KRW 180,000. The new AKG buds come in Black, Silver and Navy, that last one is a dual tone paint job with a splash of gold
