Is Samsung planning to ditch the Galaxy Note finally?

Since both Galaxy S21 Ultra and Z Fold 3 are said to be coming with S Pen, Samsung has been rumored to ditch the Note series for good

There have been rumors about the next-gen Galaxy S21 Ultra which is usually the peak of the Galaxy S20x series and being the peak means it comes with numerous features and loads of specifications including a really large body.

But one constant speculation is whether Samsung would eventually ditch the Galaxy Note series by 2021 because the Galaxy S21 Ultra might have support for the Stylus Pen which is sort of synonymous with the Galaxy Note series since its beginning.

Elsewhere, the speculation furthered that the South Korean tech giant could also release the Galaxy Z Fold 3 by the second half of the year 2021 and would have support for the Stylus pen as well.

Come to think of it, the Stylus Pen is the only unique thing that tells the Galaxy Note apart from the Galaxy S series or maybe with the difference in design because as for the size, modern Galaxy S series are as big as the Note series.

So with this, the source claimed Samsung might be dropping the Galaxy Note instead but this report contradicts what ET News, a Korean media outlet said about Samsung’s plan to continue with the manufacturing of the Galaxy Note 21 by the year 2021.

But even if Samsung will proceed with releasing the Galaxy Note 21, another report states the company will be releasing just one model and therefore there won’t be multiple variants just as we’ve seen in recent times with the 2020 model coming in 3 models. The Galaxy Note 21 will then be the last Galaxy Note smartphone as it will be retired afterwards.

The new report corroborates with recent claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have S Pen support. Speculations are rife that there will be a dedicated storage slot for the stylus on the Z Fold 3. It appears that the South Korean tech giant is aiming to migrate its Note users to the Z Fold range.

With that said, only the Galaxy S21 Ultra might support the S Pen while the base models might not. But as for the storage slot for the S Pen, this is unlikely on the S21 Ultra. Anyway, this is based purely on speculations but we’ll surely report more on new findings.
