Huawei might be facing a lot of backlash from the US government placing it on an entity list but do note that the company makes awesome technology and in fact, one of those things it does is it’s new FreeBuds Lite, a wireless earbuds that has the AirPods Pro design aesthetics.
The Huawei Freebuds Lite is comfortable and very portable that it fits well into the ear. Producing one of the top notch quality audio you can expect from such an affordable device. Even though the Huawei FreeBuds might not be as big as the AirPods, and despite loads of wireless earbuds roaming about the market, decision about which is best might be a bit confusing but we specifically did this to let you see the Freebuds from another dimension.
OFFERS A HI-FI AUDIO QUALITY
Lots of people might have already been dropping off their older AirPods for the recent AirPods Pro considering the new design that allows the Active Noise cancellation functionality, the Huawei FreeBuds Lite offers a really awesome sound quality at it’s price-range. Using the device for the first time after switching from my Jabra Elite 65T, the FreeBuds Lite absolutely didn’t disappoint and for the fact that I use a Huawei Mate 20X smartphone, it all makes lots of sense.
Aside listening to songs, the FreeBuds Lite also gives you best quality voice and hearing while making/receiving phone calls. Thanks to it’s long tail, it’s easier to pick your voice without the need to scream like I would do while I tested out the cheap HBQ Q32 TWS bluetooth earbuds back in August.
Thanks to the design features which includes an eartip that sticks close into the ear canal, running or dancing won’t make the earbuds fall out of your ear unlike the Apple AirPods.
And as for the power efficiency, it offers a maximum 12 hours of playtime along with the charging case but when used on a single charge, it doesn’t last more than 3 hours. A quick 15 minutes of charging will get you about 90 minutes of playtime which means it doesn’t take long to continue listening to your song from where you paused before charging.
Another great value the Huawei FreeBuds Lite offers you is the Noise-cancellation feature which blocks out some ambient and unwanted pitches out while you enjoy the earbuds. Using this device makes it seems as though you’re the only one in that entire area because you can barely hear anyone talking beside you.
You can tap the side of these buds to control them in the following ways:
Double-tap the left earbud to activate and control your smartphone via voice assistant.
Double-tap the right earbud to play and pause music.
Double-tap either earbud to answer and end calls.
You don’t have to worry about these earbuds mistakenly activating any of these features while in their case, however, as the FreeBuds Lite automatically detect when they are no longer in your ears. They will also pause your music when removed.
THE BUILD QUALITY AND PRICING
The Huawei FreeBuds Lite has a mini charging case that fits right well into the pocket when tried out. Although there is still a little bit of a bump while tried out, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t fit decently well. Pairing of the FreeBuds Lite with my smartphone took no time at all.
The case can be used to pair the earbuds with your smartphone which is another cool feature but it doesn’t offer a reverse charging like the HBQ Q32 and other affordable chinese earbuds that offers this feature where you can quickly top your smartphone with the charging case of your earbuds.
While searching for devices using Bluetooth on our smartphone, we simply pressed and held the single button on the case for about two seconds to pair our FreeBuds Lite to the phone.
The Huawei FreeBuds Lite comes in two distinct colors which includes Carbon Black as well as Ceramics White depending on which color you want. It’s design is very minimal and cool when used.
