Blogging as it is can be a full time job whereby you earn your total living from it. On popular blogs such as Entrepreneur, Marshable, we can all see the figures that these companies have made from what can be initially called an hobby.
Blogging is a very awesome way of making money especially for those who are passionate about it. In case I didn’t make that clear, my friend Rose told me last two months about her aspirations of creating a medical blog because she is medical student.
She asked me about the design and cost for mobile applications and etc all I asked her was “Why do you want to start a blog?” Although she only wanted to because she is interested in it as a hobby.
This is where my statement about commitments comes in. To create a blog and run it successfully demands hard job. This where everyone come short of it.
Although the end road is very bright but how many bloggers can relax and work hard enough to get through to the end of the tunnel?
That is where commitment matters and that’s where its not all that is gifted to write. Many to speak while some to write. It all depends.
But before I would go into details about what it really takes to make money blogging, i would love to differentiate between Really gifted bloggers and covetous bloggers. Don’t misquote me.
I used the word Covetous because these types of bloggers don’t know what blogging really is. But they instead jump head straight into the pool of blogging all for the sake of making money or getting people freaked that they are bloggers.
Hell yeah! Bloggers are millionaires i know but believe me, not everyone is meant to make money from blogging.
There are paths which each and everyone of us can pick and work towards. The fact remains that each and everyone has his own gift. But whatever your is isn’t what we’re to discourse in this post. Meanwhile who shouldn’t blog?
You’ll be a bad blogger if you do any of these
Follow the list carefully but don’t feel ashamed or depressed if I mention you on my list. Believe me, you need to ask yourself deeply if you really want to become a blogger. Just read on for the answers which “if any” is found, you can then start or else quit for something else. This question and list concerns even me.
#1. Procrastinator
Just in case this is your problem, then you’ve got a big issue at hand. Let me gives a good example of one…
A procrastinator is someone who harbours “laziness” but doesn’t admit to it instead, he seeks excuses to not do things. Now laziness is in quote because he just wouldn’t find the motivation to do anything instead keep procrastinating about doing that thing.
Now back to blogging, the main reason a procrastinator can’t and shouldn’t become a blogger is because he doesn’t have the passion and zeal to do what he had to do in other to change the face of the internet.
Procrastinators are weak minded and their ego makes them to refuse chasing what they ought to chase. So to overcome this bad characteristics, you need to be self determined.
#2. Someone with inferiority complex
You might think authority doesn’t show in articles written but hell no you’re wrong. Someone who isn’t authoritative enough can’t lead and whoever can’t lead can’t blog.
Bloggers are leaders and teachers of the internet. Whatever niche a blogger dominates, he is the authority over there. So someone who isn’t sure of himself can never lead and that makes a bad blogger. So work on your self esteem first before thinking abut starting a blog.
#3. If you’re after overnight Millions
While you’ve seen and heard of people like Pete Cashmore who blogs about technology stuffs and the social media or likes of Neil Patel that blogs about SEO practises and their annual figures freaks you to think that you can become that great in one night well, I’ve just disappointed you that they didn’t become that in a night….duh!
What am saying is that blogging isn’t the fastest channel to making quick millions. Its in fact a steady means which takes time anyway.
So work first on your day job and don’t quit yet before creating an account on Tumblr. Gather some money and think about where you want to start.
#4. Liar
Bloggers are seen with the bright lights on them. This means that they are seen to be transparent without hiding anything because of the fact that they share knowledge with the commoners.
So transparency is a very powerful point which is what directs a blogger to action. A liar can’t become a blogger because he will always write about things he never did or see and this can be a bad reputation for him and his entire blog.
This hurts other bloggers and so such act should be totally shined off. So in case you can’t but lie even while you talk to yourself then work on your lies first.
#5. Pirates
Bloggers are never pirates. Bloggers don’t steal copyrighted properties. Bloggers don’t copy and paste. Real bloggers always make researches just like professors and they come up with another solution to a problem which makes the internet world a better place to surf and access for the ordinary person.
A pirate cannot blog successfully because he is never original but always infringing copyrighted properties. In case you’re like this, then turn a new leaf.
#6. Lack of Business mind
Bloggers usually have that set apart in a space of their mind. Real bloggers are businessmen because of the fact that they make things easier and so they earn their living here without any hassle.
Let’s take for examples blogs such as Techcrunch, they have a way of monetizing it which in turn the bloggers can earn a living freely and easily here.
#7. Copycats
One essential feature of bloggers and why they are called trendsetter is because of the fact that they invent styles and methods of fighting a problem.
As stated earlier that they solve problems to make the internet a better place to surf on, with vital information and intelligent guidelines, one can actually see that bloggers create new things because they are creators not copycats.
In case you aren’t smart enough to create something new or unique, then brainstorm first and see what outcome you’ve got before starting a blogging job.
#8. Lack of Creativity
If you lack this then you need to start a training on self consciousness in order to become a creative person. Talented bloggers are creative set of people who are smart enough to create something out of nothing or bring out something new from the already existing. Now, as a matter of fact, becoming a real blogger demands a lot of creativity.
#9. Racist
Bloggers aren’t racists. Bloggers are good set of people who don’t believe in racism. They are factual. And believe that everyone is equal irrespective of their race or color of skin or country of origin.
Humans are humans. Now the problem with racist bloggers is that they don’t make it to the Finnish line before their pride kill them completely.
So in case you have that type of mentality, it needs to be cured and flushed out well before at first thinking about being a blogger.
#10. Basic computer knowledge
In case you want to be a blogger, having a basic computer knowledge is very fundamental although this days, the mobile Internet and mobile phones have all made the face of the Internet very interesting but believe me, you surely need some knowledge about how to troubleshoot and how to go about basic things and the skillful usage of your computer is very essential here.

BUT Anyway, it will be nice to make some points clearer by emphasizing on the top 10 attributes that makes bloggers successful.
These attributes are very special and although has its individuality in it but believe me, nearly all bloggers possess those characteristics.

Successful bloggers aren’t just some computer nerds that encompasses their entire life starring at the screen of their computers. Because of their fun attitude, that makes their blogs interesting and not boring.
Holding webinars and conferences demands some authority and boldness. These set of people aren’t just the introverts that doesn’t care about the outside world rather sits inside and hope things changes for better later on. Bloggers are far from that. They are lively set of people and they are lovely too.
#17. Bloggers are passionate
Another great quality of a successful blogger is being passionate. They are passionate about teaching and disseminating information.
This characteristics is what makes them exceptional and different from all others. A blogger is passionate about his job seeing it as his business which he needs to nurture until it becomes something extremely great later on.
#18. Bloggers are researchers
A Blogger like Bryan Dean would sit down and write a powerful blog spending on average 6-8 hours to create a fantastic article which is mind blowing and extremely useful to everyone.
This behavior is very rampant among successful bloggers which is a trait that new bloggers that wants to be successful blogging must posses.
Truth is this trait isn’t adopted it’s about being true to the people who needs vital information and you can’t afford to give them irrelevant contents anyway.
#19. Bloggers are authoritative
I spoke about the authority which successful bloggers posses. This authority is what makes them who they really are and that defines their success.
A blogger like Sarah Gooding who is a WordPress reporter is seen as a go to person who can solve any issue pertaining to WordPress. This is authority.
Each blogger owns the authority in his own space and that is what a successful blogger tries to create.
#20. Bloggers are Internet entrepreneurs
Bloggers have the business mind which is what makes them a rich and secured financially. Their business orientation gives the.
A better perspective about economic status and how they can fight such situation using their skillful knowledge to get whatever they want because the Internet is their office anyway.
As far as the Internet world is concerned, steadfastness is a very important factor which needs to be considered more often than anything.
As successful bloggers would have it, the labor each go through before acquiring what they have is a serious lesson which needs to be learnt from.
Although there are many ways to success, not all get a breakthrough via the same means. This Would mean that each upcoming bloggers needs to learn the skills of being extra committed to the job.
Just in case you wonder how great contents are being produced by these geniuses you can have your answer as saying that they are simple people with simple rules and those rules are very important to them as far as producing relevant contents is concerned. Anyway, that can be simplified below in a straight form.
How successful bloggers create successful blogs.
This is another list of how successful bloggers are able to infiltrate the Internet world with their power and thereby influencing multitudes who have the courage to follow them.
They influence people positively with powerful articles which isn’t actually easy to come by anyway. In case that seems like a trick to you, I will just show the magic these people use so you can start it while you start a career in blogging.
#21. They listen to your mind
Bloggers are listeners but not mutants who reads minds anyway. Listening to people’s mind is done by looking at the society and finding a common problem which a normal person will or might come by.
Then they produce an article which can solve that problem immediately after making researches which are actually true.
A GOOD EXAMPLE of such can be those posts made by Lynn La. Sometimes she writes based on popular problem which a teenager can face while growing up such as health and lifestyle and others.
Darren Rowse writes about general tech ideas such as WordPress and general SEO and making money online. Someone like Bryan Dean would write about the general question which the general new website owner (or webmasters) faces such as how to rank better in search engines.
So being a mind reader is a fundamental skill which bloggers are being able to utilize and this works out enormously for them and by this they labeled mind readers.
To become a successful blogger, you need to be able to read the minds of people and understand a particular problem which they are likely to be facing on their daily life.
Coming up with an encouraging article or a motivational talk is the solution to those problems.
#22. Successful bloggers are omnipresent
Yeah that might sound odd again but yeah there is no better language to use than that. Bloggers are everywhere. Think of anywhere in this world, they are there.
So think about it how would a gossip blog such as TMZ get everything happening right inside the room of a celebrity? How was Gawker being able to lay their hands upon the sextape of Hulk Hogan?
This omnipresence power is what drives them and then they are able to be wherever they want to be. Let me make that clearer.
There is a popular parable as the “walls have ears.” that’s the case with bloggers. They aren’t necessarily going to be there but they have ears and eyes everywhere and this authority makes them omnipresent.
So if you can create such authority, you will also be in multiple places all at ones. It’s a skill that of successful bloggers are able to learn and master.
#23. Bloggers creates the news
you might think what about the journalists but hey! ”
Journalists only publish what they are given and the only capitalize on that and never leave it. Bloggers on the other hand creates the news.
They create controversies and those controversies can go on and spread out all over the face of the Internet virally. Being able to create a controversy which streets the Internet is a power which only successful bloggers are able to master.
In case you’ve learnt about past trends, such as the illuminati conspiracy and the celebrities well, those are parts of the controversies that bloggers can steer up.
Am not saying you should become a controversial blogger but am just telling you that bloggers creates news.
#24. Bloggers always learn
I will take that from a popular quote which states that
To keep the mind young, we need to keep learning. He that stops learning stops existing.
Now you can see why it’s possible to still be able to teach about varieties of topics. It’s not that these people are superhuman who have some special skills or mutations that helps them get answers directly room the gods but believe me, it’s because they are also learning.
The mind of a successful blogger is filled with thousands of knowledge which they then impact on others. To learn, they look at others, ask questions and read books and in fact do surveys. These are all parts of skills acquired.
#25. Bloggers are not islands
Yeah it’s true. Bloggers associate with one another hence they are social. They refer to each other in posts and don’t rival others.
Each blogger has his own field and believe me, there are more than 6 billion people in the world and so a few bloggers can never fill in the role of being the teacher of such multitude.
The need to associate is very compulsory and this drives the Web. Now in case you aim to become a blogger without the skill of associating with other bloggers thinking you are independent, then you are missing it pretty much.
#26. Bloggers are like backdoor
Now if that doesn’t seem to be understandable to you, then you just read carefully. Bloggers usually reason the other way around things.
They don’t see things like the way general public sees it. They see the faults of those things by being able to think all around those things.
Bloggers are able to write reviews because of that ability. And believe me, reviews are very essential to purchasing and that is why bloggers are go to people in those fields.
They write based on the fact of what they discover not what they fantasize in opposition to the general public.
Well there are lots of ways which bloggers are being able to come up with fantastic articles and so the list goes on and on.
But really, I can’t but stop so as to keep the list in a moderate manner and so jumping to tools which helps them to create such powerful and mind touching articles. The list still continue anyway.
#27. Social media
This is the home of everyone. Facebook alone rakes up the majority of the world’s population in a place. There was this fun that What if Facebook becomes a country how many citizens will it have.
Well that not the care but the case is that bloggers are able to know more about their community and about what to write about by being a recant part of the social media world.
They follow people on Twitter to learn more about them. They like brand pages on Facebook to get insight of those brands. They stumble articles and Digg posts.
They use Reddit, Pinterest, YouTube just mention any social network. The reason isn’t because they are social networking freaks but they need information and that is the number place where they listen to the minds of people. You need to learn to start using media platforms in order to become a successful blogger.
#28. They go to forums too
Places such as Quora, Yahoo answers, Warrior forum etc are paces where you will find bloggers. They go there to listen popular questions asked by people.
Note the difference between social media platforms and forums. . Because on forums, people are more open and states their problems directly than social media platform where they of update statuses.
The forum platform is the most recant tool for creating interesting articles which answers the questions of thousands if not millions.
So start visiting forums today to learn about what people need and how you can be of help to them by writing powerful articles and becoming a successful blogger.
#29. Insiders and Rumor mills
There are usually insiders or rumor carrier who disseminates information to bloggers either directly by mailing or contacting them (press releases) or by in fact publishing them on their blogs (guest blogging) .
The importance of these people is because they are the closest source to that information hence the need. So get closer to a source via those people and then your blogging career will be easier.
#30. Search engines
Yahoo, Bing, Yandex, Google, Devil Finder etc are all search engines which bloggers use. Just believe me, people look up information by using search engines as the mediums of getting those information.
Now search engines are able to store frequent searches and other important searches. Bloggers are able to pick that up and capitalize on it as a result of their relevance.
So the search engine is an important part of the tool that successful bloggers are being able to utilize to create outstanding articles and mind blowing blog posts which people needed most.
Thus, becoming a successful other doesn’t have to be a do or die game instead, following the simple rules can always help us achieve our aims in life and get whatever we so wish to get.
As far as bloggers are concerned, the skill sets needed to succeed is right in their palms so there isn’t a need to fidget. Now in the case of an up and coming blogger who seeks inspirations, you can follow the trends and footsteps created by successful bloggers and from there, you can create your own system which work best with you and then the next generation can pick up and follow it.
All these attributes are great attributes of incredible bloggers. Wanna be a blogger? Think outstandingly.
#31 They love Social Media
Every social networking websites out there have there usefulness and each bloggers have a way of using them. They don’t only use these platforms to periodically reach out to their large audiences, but they also use the avenue as a means of getting more information about the latest trends and stories that goes on around the entire globe.
The Truth…
Becoming a successful blogger isn’t a simple job especially if you’re not passionate about writing but there are learning curves which you can get yourself adhered to so as to become successful in your new lie of career. But incase you are the type that gives up just any moment, then you shouldn’t become a blogger.
