The long list of perks you get for being an Amazon Prime subscriber can be interesting, especially with benefits like next-fay delivery and unlimited access to Prime Video, there’s definitely no reason why anyone would want to cancel such a subscription right?
Well, different people have different reasons for using a service and so is why they might be needing to cancel their subscription if you’re part of the latter group, we’ve written a short but detailed guide on how to cancel your Amazon Prime subscription in a couple of steps.
In order to have a better experience with the cancellation process, you might need to get either a tablet or a computer in order to be able to access the web version of Amazon’s website and get your Prime subscription closed.
How to terminate your Amazon Prime subscription
Visit the Amazon website on either a computer or a laptop device and then click on “Accounts & Lists”.
From the tabular list of options in “Your Account”, just click on “Prime” (usually the third option by the top-right). Then a new interface should appear that shows your subscription amount and other information such as renewal date and “Manage Membership”.

Click on “Manage Membership” and then “End Membership” after which another screen will appear with a series of instructions to guide the subscription termination process with ease.
Following the previous step, a dropdown menu will appear with the option to end your membership at the bottom. Click on that link.
Just click on “I Do Not Want My Benefits” This will be the first of three final checks on Amazon’s behalf to try and get you to stay with Prime. To breeze past the first check, scroll down and click ‘I Do Not Want My Benefits’.
Next, click “Continue To Cancel”At the second check, Amazon will offer alternative payment options (if you’re paying an annual fee, the website will suggest switching to a monthly fee). Click “Continue To Cancel” to move past this section.
Next, click on “End Prime Benefits On [Date Specified]”.
Amazon made the process longer in order to discourage you from ending your Prime membership which is quite understandable from a business standpoint. But in order to just scale through all of the shenanigans, clicking on “End Prime Benefits on [Date Specified]” should get rid of your Amazon Prime subscription completely with nothing left.
