Just in case you’re an early adopter of the new iOS 13 which was recently announced…yesterday, 19th of September precisely, You might want to know how to do couple of things already. For example, you might want to know how to rearrange app icons on both your new iOS/iPadOS 13/13.1 respectively.
This is the first time that Apple would be releasing a separate software/operating system to power up it’s three mobile devices which includes the iOS 13 for both the iPhone and iPod Touch and then the iPadOS 13 for the iPad users.
With millions of users especially early adopters, it’s time you learn to customize your new device’s interface with what seems to be one of the coolest features on the iOS 13. One of those changes will be immediately visible to those wanting to delete apps.
So how do you delete/rearrange apps on iOS 13 anyway?
The old fashioned long pressing of an app icon which usually turn the entire interface into a Wiggle Mode is now replaced by a pop up context menu as well as a widget for that same app being long tapped. The menu gets it’s invocation through the Apple’s 3D Touch as in the case of the older iPhones (From iPhone 8 downwards) or the Haptic Touch on the new iPhones (iPhone XR, iPhone 11 and upwards. So, you may ask, how do you delete or rearrange apps then?
As for that, there are couple of ways to go about it and this short guide will take you through those procedures. There are two ways to go about this which includes holding down an app icon until the pop-menu appears or just continue the holding until the app disappears and all the icons on the Home Screen enters into the Zombie Wiggling Mode.

As usual, ones the Wiggle starts, you can then go ahead and gently tap the Delete icon represented by the “X” mark on all the app icons or just drag each of the icons to rearrange them.
Now, on to the next one which is a bit slower or should I say little longer to perform. What you do here is that you have to hold an app’s icon and then let go when the pop menu appears. You can then select the new Rearrange App option to enter the Zombie Wiggle mode…sort of an extra tap isn’t it.
More than anything, this change makes it clear that Apple is already over 3D Touch. The company wants all its users to embrace the new, largely software-driven Haptic Touch system moving forward. It might disappoint those few who had grown attached to the old feature, but one has to admit that it just makes sense.
After all, we know Apple to always try to bring up the new futuristic features and change the old ways of doing things. Remember when the Touch home button was ditched in 2017 right at the presence of the iPhone 8…well, the Haptic Touch is the new tech so deal with it…LOL.
