And the US has the highest number of cases, at around 236,000 followed by Italy, Spain and Germany.

While many have been politicizing the pandemic and attributing it to the willfulness of the Chinese government to cover-up the initial offset of the disease which will soon become a global threat leading to total lockdown of some countries, Scientists and medical experts have been racing to come up with a working solution in order to stop the outbreak so as for countries to step out of this crisis.

The disease was first detected in Wuhan, China but soon spread worldwide leading businesses closed and many losing their jobs as government imposed a compulsory lock down on cities and in severe cases, nationwide such as Italy which had the most fatalities.

Due to the intensity of the spread, the US government had further extended the social distancing guidelines till April 30th.

With this, major events have been called off or postponed. While some people are still lucky to still hold their jobs, others have lost theirs completely.

The US President on Thursday then activated the Defense Production Act in other to allow manufacturers such as General Electric, Hill-Rom, ResMed and Roya Philips to “secure the supplies they need to build ventilators needed to defeat the virus.” Meanwhile, companies like Apple have donated millions of face masks to medical workers to help curb a shortage, while Boeing has said it’ll make thousands of plastic face shields each week and provide planes to carry supplies, according to Trump.

Other Chinese firms such as tech giants like Huawei had extended it’s helping hand to European nations and initiatives such as the AliBaba foundation and Jack Ma Foundation have also sent aid to other Asian countries that needs help.

In order to “flatten the curve” of the pandemic, citizens of every countries have been enjoined to stay in door and also advised to always wash their hands and sanitize their homes against the deadly virus.
