While there isn’t anything official yet known about the Huawei P50 series, some leaks are surfacing through the web giving us an insight about what to expect when the device is finally announced which is when we can see some real-life look and feel of the device.

Even though Huawei is in a bad position in terms of the smartphone market reach now because of its ban by the US government, the company doesn’t seems to be quitting in making premium flagship devices and the recent reports about the success of the low-key release of the Mate X2 in China meant there are still some people who are still betting on Huawei and willing to give the brand a try.

Huawei is definitely a master at Hardware and that’s the fact no one can ignore. The Huawei P50 series will definitely be another awesome piece of hardware whose software would also be great just with the little touch of the Google Mobile Service and the story would have been different.

Speaking of the P50 series, several report have it that the company will also follow the same route it did the previous year which is a trio variant of the same model and in this case, we’ll be getting the Huawei P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro+ with the latter being the high-end peak of the product line.

A tampered film for the P50 Pro has reportedly being leaked online which gives the much needed insight about the design of the device in terms of what it would look like from the front.

Looking at the above image, one can deduce that Huawei isn’t willing to ditch its curved displays just yet but the difference from the previous P40 series is the fact that this one has curved edges (on both sides) with a single punch hole camera cut out at the top center while the previous model also has curved top and bottom with a dual punch hole camera cutout at the top left corner of the screen.

Compared to its predecessors, the design of the P50 series is expected to be a bit different as the company aims to please audience with an updated design. It is speculated that the USP of this upcoming lineup will be its screen quality, a new camera system, as well as the gaming capabilities.

The P50 will be the base model or “Lite” and will not have all the high-end features on the “Pro” model. Also, there are reports that the device would be powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 9000E chipset while the high-end P50 pro and P50 Pro+ will be powered by the Kirin 9000 SoC with Android 11 on board.

It’s yet unknown whether the device will also support being ported to the Harmony OS – Huawei’s proprietary operating system meant to replace Android totally. There were reports that the new Mate X2 will have support for the Harmony OS later on by April. Until the release of the P50 series, we might not know too much about the support.
